December 11, 2012

IREP Meeting Minutes December 11, 2012 We started our Holiday Party at 8:30 AM by eating the wonderful food from Bob Evans. The Holiday Party committee called out raffle numbers for the giveaways that had been donated by members of IREP. Meeting was called to order by President Tim Snelgrove at 9:30 AM and he led members in the pledge of allegiance. We did not have an inspiration. Guests were introduced and birthdays for December were announced. Reports Secretary: Previous months minutes were accepted Treasurer: Denise Drews reported a balance of $3,219.61 in our account. Hospitality: Tammy Hagedorn’s husband at home and doing better. Membership: Robin Fiel reported that there are 61 or 62 members with 31 or 32 being Realtors and 30 are affiliates. We are almost at equilibrium so more Realtors need to become members before adding additional affiliates. Education: January’s speaker had not been finalized; however, February’s speaker will be Amanda Cole with GadgitKids. President, Tim Snelgrove thanked the Education committee. New Business President Tim Snelgrove recognized the 2012 Board with gifts and thanked Committee members. We voted to support Mason Dixon’s Wish with $800, CASA with $700 and PARC with $500. Ben Friedlander installed the 2013 Board Members. Incoming Address President Tim Snelgrove passed gavel to Sandy Jones, President for 2013. Sandy gave president address. Meeting was adjourned at 9:50 AM Holiday Party committee continued with raffle items.

April 10, 2012

IREP Meeting Notes April 10, 2012 Tim Snelgrove, President called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM on April 10, 2012. We met in Auditorium C at the Pinellas Realtor Organization (PRO) building located on Ulmerton Road and there were 27 people in attendance. The Pledge of Allegiance and Inspiration were led by Affiliate Member, Tammi Hagedorn. No new members were introduced however, two guests introduced themselves. Two members having birthdays in April were acknowledged, Pauline Callaghan who was in attendance and Helene Szabries who was not in attendance. Speaker: Ben Friedlander introduced the guest speaker, Ken Burke, Pinellas County Clerk of the Court. Ken passed out a handout on the Recording Statistics for Pinellas County from 2005 to the present. On the large screen, he showed the website for his office, www.pinellasclerk.org and went over some of the public information available on the website. He demonstrated how to click on “Search Records” to find copies of Deeds and Mortgages, Civil and Small Claims Court Records, Criminal Court Records, including the location of Sexual Offenders & Predators in a neighborhood. He showed us how the Clerk’s website is linked to the Property Appraiser’s website and information available there. He ended his presentation with questions and answers and gave us a second handout on the Clerk’s Legal Self Help Centers with their locations and schedules. Reports Secretary: There were no minutes from the last meeting submitted to approve. Tim indicated he would get last month’s meeting minutes from Secretary Sheila McNaughton and have them next month. Treasurer: Denise Drews had to leave early so Membership Chair Robyn Fiel gave the Treasurer’s Report. We have a balance of $2629.75 not including monies collected today. Hospitality: Pauline Callaghan, Chair indicated she had no news. Membership: Robyn Fiel, Membership Chair said there were no changes in membership. She reminded everyone to pay their dues for 2012 saying she would still accept $30 renewal dues through the end of April. Another invoice would be going out to all members but to disregard the invoice if dues have been paid. She said to email her if you are unsure if you have paid your dues this year. Educations: Tammi Hagedorn gave an update on Education. Next month’s meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 8th and the speaker will be DeWayne Combs from PRO Tech with a technology presentation. In June, we will have a panel discussion from IREP Affiliate Members who are lenders regarding the various loan programs available to Buyers. New Business Duke Tieman reminding everyone about the upcoming Bay Area Explosion Tech Camp being held at the A La Carte Pavilion on Wednesday, April 11th. Tim Snelgrove indicated the website had been updated. Temme Peterson led the Pitch where we heard from Teri McAnly about advertising opportunities in the Tampa Bay Times. Unwrapped gifts for young children and teens were brought in by members for All Children’s Hospital. Breakfast catered by Bob Evans, music provided by our own Ted Smida. Treasurer: Budget for 2012 was discussed and passed as presented Julia thanked her board and the membership for a wonderful year and distributed presents. Guests were introduced and the birthdays for June were announced by Tammi Hagedorn Guest Speaker, Rick Kriseman, Florida House of Representatives for District 53 spoke on the experience of rebuilding his family home with energy efficient green technology after it had been destroyed in a fire. Phyllis Apone read the Inspirational message written by Debra Gregory and led the members in the Pledge of Alliance. Guests were introduced and the birthdays for May announced. Guest speaker Chris W. Boss, Attorney and from Yesner and Boss, P.L. gave an interesting presentation and answered questions on some of the legal issues facing Realtors today. It was suggested we sign up for his email newsletter to receive useful and timely legal real estate information. The sign up is on the home page of his web site, www.YesnerBoss.com. The guest speakers, IREP members Ben Friedlander and Phyllis Apone and Carrie Sullivan, the representative from bright house, spoke on saving money in our business and personal lives. IREP Meeting Notes February 8, 2011 Meeting was called to order by new President Julia Galpin at 9:00 AM. Treasurer Ted Smida led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance and provided the inspirational message. Guests were introduced and the birthdays for February announced. The guest speaker, Allan Middleman from Freedom Mortgage spoke on underwriting guidelines and took questions from the audience. Reports Secretary: Previous minutes were accepted after one correction. Unfinished Business Evites: initial email on Monday, 8 days before meeting, reminder on Friday Website: Newsletter on site and in the body of the email New Business Paula Blanda of West Coast Insurance Group presented Rick Ambrose of Ambrose Realty with the Partner of the Year award Policy Change: It was decided to change the policy of IREP to allow members to email other embers as long as they adhered to the anti spam guidelines by not using misleading information in the Subject line and allowing the recipient to opt out of future email. Deb Diesing will send email with policy change and roster password to all members Discussion was held on changing the meeting location. Committee to be established to review options. Pitch was handled by Tim Snelgrove. Meeting adjourned after 10:00 AM.

IREP Meeting Notes 01/11/11 Meeting was called to order by new President Julia Galpin at 9:00 AM. Vice President Tim Snelgrove led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance and provided the inspirational message. Guests were introduced and the birthdays for January announced. Education co-chairperson, Phyllis Apone introduced the speaker, Robyn Fiel of Fifth Third Bank. Reports Secretary: No minutes were available for the previous meeting Treasurer: Ted Smida announced account balances. Budget for 2011 was provided to the membership. Deb Diesing made a motion to approve the budget and it was approved. Hospitality: Pauline Callaghan wants to hear about what is going on with the members so she can show our support. Please provide her with news on health issues, happy events and sad occasions. Membership: Tammi Hagerdorn talked about new members, renewals and the need to increase membership of Realtors and Affiliates. Education: Phyllis Apone announced the speakers for the next two months. The committee is looking for suggestion for future programs. Unfinished Business Deb Diesing is the now the editor of the newsletter.
